About The Hackathon
Welcome to Bluebonnet Hacks: a political tech-focused hackathon!
A hackathon is a 24-hour event where people work individually or in teams on a project. People use their coding abilities to create projects that solve real problems.
We welcome all fellows and their friends to join us to build amazing hacks that have a political focus and/or solves problems our current fellows are facing in their campaigns.
Tracks are suggested areas where you can choose to focus your project. You don't need to pursue these, but some of the judging categories will be for the four tracks:
How can campaigns communicate with voters more effectively?
How can campaigns target voters more effectively?
How can campaigns manage voter outreach more efficiently?
How can campaigns monitor media more effectively?
How can campaigns manage press communications more effectively?
How can campaigns manage paid media and advertising more effectively?
How can campaigns more effectively find and target likely donors?
How can campaigns prioritize higher value donors?
How can campaign manage relationships with PACs and other political organizations?
4. Data Management
How can useful political data be consolidated?
How can different data sources be integrated?
How can campaigns streamline the use of public data?
