Hope everyone is well and healthy.
I had a question regarding ArcGIS. I was wondering if anyone here had experience working with popups and tables on ArcGIS. Right now, we're working on a simple interactive map of North Carolina that displays all of the districts (house and senate) in which BBD is involved in.
Some things we're currently trying to do right now are :
Add custom popups so that when a user clicks on a district they can see specific information pertaining to the campaign of that district that we're involved in. For an example of what I mean, I've attached an image below. Currently, all districts for the layer that has the highlighted areas all show the same text "Mr Guy". How can we create a unique description for each district for these popups?
Edit publicly available layers to add data from our campaigns. How can we join tables, edit shape layers, import edited CSVs with shape area and length so we can add data to existing shape files / CSVs we download from ArcGis or other online resources. One use for this would be for the popups mentioned above. If we can modify the tables of layers we're using for these district boundaries, we can add a column(s) for things like Candidate, Description, etc. This way, we wouldn't need to come up with any fancy script for the popups, we can just use the data from the tables to populate the popups.
If anyone has any experience with any of these topics, would love to hear from you! Thanks :)
