My campaign has requested that we come up with a "phone bank" (list of names + phone numbers) for specific geographic regions within the district.
The deliverables are:
A fun leaflet map displaying the regions
2. A big Excel table with lots of identifying VAN data in it.
Name | Phone Number | Address | ... John Doe | (999) 999-9999 | 1 Intercoastal Dr | ... etc.
The GitLab Pages web hosting seemed like a really nice place to deliver our materials to the campaign. For example, we can link to leaflet maps and host files for our campaign to download like so:
The website has authentication through GitLab, but I think that it allows anyone within the current BBD GitLab Group to view it (even without having access to the source repository)
If it were possible to limit access further such that ONLY specified accounts could view the pages, I think hosting data here would be fine (or at least as fine as sharing via Google Drive or something).
Ideas to work around this:
Keep website looking as is, but have the "Download Phone Bank" button link to a private Google Drive folder
Re-structure BBD's GitLab groups such that each website source repository has finer control over who has access
What are your thoughts?
